National Trails Day is about coming together in celebration of the trails and public lands that connect our communities — and this year, Kaniksu Land Trust is honored to join a broad coalition of trail partners for a special regional stewardship effort on June 8.
At the invitation of regional trail partners, KLT staff, volunteers, and supporters will be traveling outside of our immediate region to work alongside fellow trail organizations, the U.S. Forest Service, and public lands partners in support of trail stewardship and restoration work. This collaborative day is a reminder that caring for trails is bigger than any one organization — it is a shared commitment to access, conservation, recreation, and community across the Inland Northwest.
We are proud to represent the Kaniksu Region and stand shoulder to shoulder with partners who are working to keep trails open, safe, and inspiring for generations to come.
If you’re joining us, we encourage you to wear your KLT gear and help represent our community well out on the trail. Whether it’s a hat, hoodie, or t-shirt, let’s show up strong for the lands and people we care about.
We are grateful to our fellow trail organizations, and the U.S. Forest Service for inviting us to be part of this meaningful day of service and partnership.
