Jim is an Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor with D.A. Davidson & Co. in Sandpoint. He holds a Master’s degree in history from the University of Hawaii and a B.A. in history from the College of Wooster. Previous to becoming a financial advisor in 2007, Jim spent 25 years in education, working at a number of universities and specialized independent schools in Ohio, California and Idaho, as well as at an outdoor education non-profit in California and after-school enrichment and internship program in Massachusetts. Jim also has experience working with land trusts in California and Massachusetts.

Nate Hall Secretary

Nate has been with KLT since its inception in 2002, first in an advisory role, and now as a board member.

Nate began working for Avista Utilities in 1991 as a wildlife biologist, and is now the Clark Fork License Manager responsible for overseeing all natural resource and associated FERC license requirements associated with the Noxon Rapids and Cabinet Gorge hydroelectric facilities.

Diane Williams Treasurer

Diane has been involved with Kaniksu Land Trust since its inception. She joined the Board in 2004 and served as Treasurer until 2012. After a brief hiatus, she re-joined the organization in 2014.

Diane grew up in northeast Ohio and has an undergraduate degree in News Journalism from Kent State University. Since moving to Sandpoint in 1988 she has obtained extensive experience working with water-quality related non-profit organizations in Idaho and Montana. She served as the Sandpoint Field Office Director for the Missoula, Montana-based Clark Fork Coalition; as the co-founding Executive Director of the Rock Creek Alliance; and for 10 years as Executive Director of the Tri-State Water Quality Council where she worked for a total of 13 years.

Rich Del Carlo

A certified arborist for 25 years, Rich is the owner/operator of Peregrine Tree and Landscape in Sandpoint. Rich has served on the Sandpoint Tree Committee for 20 years as well as on the Rock Creek Alliance board. He enjoys teaching pruning techniques and leading bird watching walks. Rich has a vast knowledge of natural history and conservation and his hobbies include hiking, biking, backpacking, skiing, birding and travel.

Dan Krabacher

Dan holds advanced degrees in educational psychology and school psychology and most recently served as school psychologist for the Lake Pend Oreille School District in Bonner County, Idaho. He spent 19 years working for the international organization Outward Bound in all aspects of programming and management, and ultimately as Director of Operations on the west coast of the United States. When at Outward Bound, he served on the interagency Lower Deschutes River Management Plan Committee, which developed the plan for Oregon’s Lower Deschutes Wild and Scenic River.
